Malaysia prints far more than anyone gets to see. Zines run to 50 copies, sell out at one fair in Kampung Attap, and then they’re gone: not in a shop, not in a library, not on a page you could send to a friend.
Satu Copy is that page. It’s three things: a place to find what’s being made, stories about it, and a shelf where we keep a copy of every book.
Every ringgit goes to the maker
There’s no cart or checkout. Every book links straight to wherever its maker sells it: their shop, Instagram, Ko-fi, or next month’s fair.
That’s on purpose. A marketplace only works with lots of visitors, and it has to take a cut. A directory is useful from the day it has 10 good books.
If that ever changes, we’ll tell you first.
Picked by hand
Every maker is reviewed before they appear, and every review in Stories is of a copy read cover to cover. Nobody can pay to be listed or featured.
So far: 4 books by 4 makers, and 1 of those books is in the archive in Kuala Lumpur.
